You got it right! I am talking about Albin Countergambit. Has anyone tried to counter Albin Countergambit like this. My friend did it with success.

How can I counter this if someone plays like this when I use Albin Countergambit? Your comments are most appreciated.

I believe Spassky played like this as White once.

Black should reply 5...f6 here.

5 .... f6 or 5 .... g5 seem to afford Black decent winning chances (above 40% in the database I looked at!).

In blitz, I'd seriously consider Nxe5.

[edit: the more I think about it... I'd probably consider for standard as well]

Why not 5...f5? If 6.exf6, then 6...Nxf6 and if 6.exf5, then 6...Bxf5
