    Oh I see.  ANd if 2. b4 then a-5 creating the passed pawn and winning the game.  I believe you are correct.  Seems a win for black.

    With the more active king and a healthy pawn structure, this was certainly worth playing out.

    Black was generous or too busy to calculate when agreeing to the draw. Then again, I don't know the time control for the game.

     

    Please let me know if I have erred in my analysis.

    The extra tempo does not change the final evaluation here, but the improvement of precision may pay off in analogous positions, and should not be dismissed!
