A friend of mine and I recently played this game with the goal of studying the queens gambit opening. We agreed at the beginning that we would on do allow two variations. Queen's gambit Accepted or Declined. This is the resulting game. I would appreciate any feedback regarding the bishop sacrifice in particular.

Nice game, however if i were playing as white i would do 12. Ng5 first and then bishop to f7, it would protect it from being captured by the king.

I wonder why the Black a8 rook didnt capture the white knight on c8 on 23.

The bishop sacrifice wasn't really sound...but then (unfortunately for Black) he hung a piece later on (23... Rxc8 24 Rxa6+).  The finale mating net was nice.

I think that once the queens were swapped white should have had nothing but black played rather passively
