Game Analysis
hey can you see if there is any improvement i can do on my game above? I was basically up an exchange but was suffering for the whole time until my opponent blundered. It was a 15|10 game. I think i was thrown off by my opponents wierd opening.
But I don't have the score sheets , can you analyze the game that I played vs a 1680 in your previous forum?
In your game till this move order that he played is not accurate , I know that from christof sieleckis blitz video where he critiqued this move order the whole game lol
ora, just quickly to your game, until move 9 you played perfectly. unfortunately your 9. move Nf4 was a mistake which gave away your advantage or even turned the tables. He found the strong move d4 after which you were forced to get a double f pawn which gave him the center. later on you managed to get some attack because he was careless but strategically your position wasnt good. Even after you won the exchange with some good play his position was probably better. this is unfortunately one of those very rare games were one inconspicuous mistake more or less loses you the game strategically. sometimes you have games where you just dont know what you did wrong because its just one small thing. i really think that after Bxf4 you already have problems. i will look for other things later but theres not much too say unfortunately. better than Nf4 was probably a move like Nb6. the thing is that whites bishop needs to cover the e2 square so we should try to make use of this. after Bd3 you can simply play f5 threatening e4. Another option would be Na5 instead after which you would need to calculate the line Bxd5 Qxd5 b4 Nb3. after c4 you can take on a1 cause his queen is attacked too. these are just some basic ideas. I believe nearly any move, for example even a6 or Nf6 gives you an advantage you just played the wrong move(although nf4 looks really good at the first glance).
best regards
Thanks till, I admit I overlooked 10.d4 which attacks Nf4, Bc5 and protects e2 at once.
I also want to ask, is the queen trade on move 22 worth the pawn? Since my position was strategically worse, i figured maybe the Queen trade would stop his attack
Hi everyone, in this thread i analyse games you post. To start here a game of me from my most recent otb tournament, where i scored 5/7 (elo performance 2456). I played white in a dutch stonewall. Enjoy.
Looking forward to your games, ciao :)
