This my 2nd game ever played on chess.com.  This was an exciting game and both sides played well. I was under attack the entire game... it's a shame about the unfortunate ending for Black.  I'd like to know what you would do, playing the black pieces after white's 37th move.  37. Qe2 ...  ???

It's blacks move.. what do you do?

Also feel free to comment on the rest of the game as well.. I'm open to any and all input.  Thanks!

If I were Black after 37. Qe2, I would have resigned, but if I had to continue, I would have played 37... Qh7 with the intent on using the queen to capture the offending pieces (obviously I would have lost anyway since the queen is such a powerful piece).  I can't understand why Black played 7... Bh3...  Although it opens White's castle, no good combination follows.

Here is something after 28... e4 'blocking the defence of the Knight' you move it . This is a knee jerk reaction (no offence) and you could look for better: click on move list for variations

Clearly - game is lost at #7.  Sticking around after that is just hoping for a blunder.  Against me there's a good likelihood :) , but, against a good player - not worth the time or effort of the other 31 moves...

It would be interesting to know why this move was played at all, since he is obviously not a complete novice. Wonder if he had touch move setting on?

    22.Qf3 is better

24.Why not dxe6? If he captures the rook, you can recapture his right on the next move and because exd5+, he loses his only bishop.

First off, I would not have played 36. ... e3 since it unblocks the white king. Qh6 is good for black on 37., but even better is f4! capture, ignore or pass, the g pawn is out of the game.

I actually tried to brake the kings castle by B sac in two games recently.  One  game I lost, the other is still in progress and the outcome is uncertain. The idea is sacrifice piece for position, his king is partially exposed while yours is still castled. I'm deffinatly not doing it again in an even material position, but with a material advantage it might not be so doubius.

Thanks for the input!  ... f4 is no good for black as my bishop will grab him.
