11.Bxa7 gets you a pawn (of course, not 11.... b6 12.Ba6#) and further weakens his defense.

I have to agree with the above. If you had been playing someone rated 100 points below you, I suspect you would have found either 14.Bh4! or 14.a6, either of which gave you a substantial advantage. 17 a6 or 18 a6 would haqve been good

I think the queen in the final position is worth more than the rook + piece. I think that as an above poster pointed out, you could have played Nxc6 bxc6 and f3

But perhaps even stronger would be Nxc6 bxc6 Ba6+ Kb8 and Qd4 maybe? It has some serious potential there for a piece attack.
