Hi all, would welcome any analysis of this game I just played, particularly around move 20. Thanks! Rich

On move 3, 3...exd5 is the correct move; since it gives White a minimal advantage. The position is totally symmetrical, and White's only edge is his extra move. The sacrifice looked dubious to me.

Thanks Dan, i realize the normal move isĀ 3...exd5 but I'm not too keen on the game that follows so I thought I'd try something unusual

Of course, the book move is highly drawish; and I understand that it didn't appeal to you. In fact, I have tried the same thing on occasion, but never really gained a strong attack as compensation. It seems to surrender the center too easily.
