How should I have played this one

This was a game against the Hard chess.com computer. I wanted to attack and felt I had compensation at the latter stages but it fizzled away. Should I have played more positionally?

    16. Bf4? That move, while I almost can see where you are going with it, needed to be thought out more so you could realize that their was no advantage to you in sacrificing the pawn. In doing so, you gave up your Queen for little.

    24. Rg2? Maybe some commentary would allow me to understand what you were thinking with this move, but the better move seems to be Kxh2 which would do two things, taken away the passed pawn threat black had, AND it would also keep your Rooks in control on the e file so his king would be unable to make a threat towards Re8.

    I hope this helps!

Did you consider 3.e5! I beleive it's the mainline move and it gives White an advantage.I don't see enough compensation for your pawn. But then Black helped you out with 7..Nxf2?

Why did you play 15.g3? I don't see what it does to improve your position. Why not 15.Be3 completing your development.

I assume you simply overlooked that Black could block checkmate with 18...Nf8. Otherwise I'm sure you would have played 16.b3 or 16.Nh4 both of which keep a small advantage for you
