How to analyse the position?

My majotr shortcomings are good tactics, and not understanding the position in locked one. I just knew that oen has to look for the king's position, pawn structure, material on board.

So, here is one game, through whioch I meant to analyze the position with your generous help. I selected this game, becuase in few moves, it swings both sides many times (I feel so); and has all the elements.

Please feel free to comment, and without further ado, I present the game in question : (which I feel will delight tacticians - I am certain I missed lost of them)

Please tell me how to evaluate the position, and most importantly how to prioritize them. And of course, missed tactics are also welcome.

In my opinion black is better. Why?

First, white does not have any attack since the center is closed and he has no initiative.

Second, black has open G and H lines and can create a potential attack on the white king. He can place his rooks on these lines and expose weakneses at the king's position. Later on he can bring his queen and start a real attack.

If i were black i would trade my bishop for his bishop, because black's bishop is bad (cannot move because of his own pawns), and later on placing knight at d4, with rooks and queen on the G and H lines black could create a good pressure.

Fritz 11 (Elo 3000+) says: clear win for white +1.4 depth 16

Toga II 1.4.1SE (Elo 3000) says: White is much better +0.89 depth 18

Rybka 3 (Elo 3250) says: White is much better +0.95 depth 16

White is a pawn up (but can lose his e6 in a view moves). He has a protectet free pawn (h2). Compare each piece: The black bishop is bad, the white bishop not. The other pieces are about the same. White has more space!

    koto;

(hopefully) not playing against a computer, so perfect play is not to be expected from either side. Black has attacking resources.

A lousy player can loose every game, thats clear. The question is: Who is better and thats answered by 3 extreme good engines in the best possible way. "Attacking Resources" i dont see for black, at least nothing what i would call so.

But my ratings are 1300 below Rybka

Strange, as soon you mention a computer people react nervous. Like the old engineeres with Logarithmic tables: 2 times 2 is 3.9665, the poketcalculator is to percise

I think White's position is strong. White has:

    1. More space

    2. Agressively placed pieces (Rf1, Be3, Qd5)

    3. More material

    4. Two passed pawns

Black has a headache, you got away lightly phbookworm, well done.
