First Diagram -- In parenthesis you give as possibility 27 f6 gxf 28 gxh6.....
however then 28 .......Bf8 29 h7, B-g7 30 f5 with White having all the chances and Black marking time.
However on 27 f6, Black should retreat with B-f8 with chances for both sides ( my opinion )
Second diagram, white looks to have the edge by creating and utilizing a passed "a" pawn. Black would have to hustle his Bishop and Horse to defend. Seems that White has the edge because the plan of creating the passed "a" pawn can not be stopped.
I've recently played in a tournament and come across two interesting endgames. The first one
This one is a bishop and knight ending.
My question in the 2nd diagram is could have one side one?
And on the first diagram is did f6 work for white?
Thanks in advance!
