Hello folks For some time I have been looking for a place to go over a idea or two about the direction that chess is going .  I must say that chess engines rules the day. And even and to have  even bigger advantage it pays to have the latest number one engine. But what does all this do for your if you dont set down and try to learn from our computer chess engines? I mean $50.00 to $70.00 U.S is not cheap. So if you would I would like to go over computer chess engine games. So fill free to post  and just in case you dont have a chess engine you can download games in pgn from CEGT.

Now why do I say that we should analyze computer played games ? Well it is mainly the fact that they play better than we do. Also the last program to face defeat at the hands of a human was ........ heck I dont no. But I do know the one advantage that people have over computers is that we can learn. And by taking the time to do so computers will loose their advantage.

One of the things I can say about this game is that it reminds me of a Fischer like game in the since that it appears easy. Wow! I like this format.

Its better to try and learn from books or stronger players, since they can actually explain things, unlike an engine. You will never become a gymnast simply from watching the best gymnasts.

You can still learn from analyzing the games played by better players/engines. You just have to find the reason behind certain moves yourself. I learn a lot from analyzing my games with an engine when the game has finished. I now see things on the board that I've never seen before.
