I don't think it could be a draw but I could be wrong. All the white king has to do is come to b7 and it's over. If the black rook tries to pin the c7 square there is the a7 pawn and not only that, the white rook protects the a7 pawn as long as it stays on the a file. If black plays 1... Rg7 white plays 1 a8Q and white will move out of check in two moves. 1-0

Thanks for ur reply.

yes i agree with u if white king reach g7 ( i guess this is what u mean cause black is in the buttom ) sequare it's over...  so black should try to prevent this from happening .

defending this position is not easy but can u beleive that its theoretically draw !!!

yes it is draw... but i know in practice its  not easy.

i think when black rook  based on the squares a7,a8,b8 reserving the option to check on either the rank or the file

and blaks king occupies the g7 ( should try ) playing just to f7,f6,g6 or h6  if checked by white rook and try not to go to the back rank

any way the game is still in progress iam trying to check how to draw

i'll try to update

thnx

Usually in chess diagrams, White is playing up the board with the first rank at the bottom of the screen. I think you have set it up the opposite way so that the Black king is actually on f8, not c1 as it first appears.
