Yesterday I played my first competition match of the new season. I got in this position, and I was calculating on d x e3.

    16... d x e3

    17 Bxd7 e x f2+

    18 Kd2 Be3+

    19 Kd1 f x g1=Q+

    20 Nx g1 Bx d7

This is the position where I had calculated to. When white plays 18 Kd1 instead of Kd2, I think thats better for black because of the open E-line.

What do you think of this position?

The point of considering this is that white will be having some problems to save his knight and has to give away a few more pawns and still have a difficult position.

    and I was calculating on e x f3.

    You mean dxe3 I suppose...

Nice position, although I think white is still a bit better after 20. ... Bxd7

Maybe 20. ... Be3+ first is better. The white king has to go to a less favorable square then. By the way: why can't white save his knight? It's still covered by the rook on a1...

I cant find a way to save the knight and I think black is a lot better when the knight is gone.
