    Hi Everyone!

I am in the middle of this game I started with the computer here on hard. I was trying to finish before I had to go teach recitation but I am stuck. Does anyone see anything I am not seeing? I feel as though I am improving and learning over the past week, but this is a perfect example of where I make my beginners mistakes. Any Comments are helpful!

    Best!

10.Nb1 doesn't look like a great move to me. Trading bishops, then placing your knight more active would probably have been better.
In your given position your queenside looks cramped, and his center looks stronger.
Your main concerns would probably be developing your queenside while keeping active (enough) in the center.
Be4 looks sound to me, your bad bishop (if the computer would trade) for his active knight wouldn't be a problem and you block the potentially dangerous e5 pawn.
It also makes room for e3, and opens a square for your knight (after trading bishops or moving yours).

[edit: 13.Be4 Nxe4 14.Rxe4 f5 doesn't look pretty for white either. Bc2 might be an alternative]

@OP: If you're referring to the Java application at this link

    http://www.chess.com/play/computer

then that is acceptable. However, you should not be in the habit of soliciting advice during any other games on Chess.com.

This IS NOT a game I am playing with someone. Its a game I stopped early for Chess.com. I didn't want people to think I am posting current games against others.

Yes. I am using that link. I thought it said so on the top of the board.
