I have literally hung my queen for nothing, and then managed to outplay my opponent and win with just minor pieces and rooks.
White made two crucial mistakes: (1) 26.Qd4 wins as well as (2) 29.Nd5 wins.
I see why players don't resign when they're far behind now.
While I was playing, I was afraid of 26. Bh6+. I think I was afraid of a couple of different moves. I was fortunate the entire e file was stacked like it was.
