    My suggestion is to not play this variation.  Obviously it's fun to trap your opponent, but you don't learn anything and it's easily handled by anyone who's seen it before or who notices the fork on e5-g2.  You can keep playing it if you want, but in general, it seems that the people who fall for traps like this are the types of players who can be beaten easily without them.  I'd recommend that you post a game that you lost for analysis as it's hard to analyze a game that's only seven moves long where your opponent falls into a trap.

    napoleon, the gambit is referred to as the "Blackburne Shilling Gambit" because the famous English player Joseph Blackburne used to use it to hustle shillings off of amateurs with minimal effort.

    I wouldn't play this in a real game, but it's useful to know. I have a friend who's a relatively good player who fell for a similar trap later in a two knights defense.

    The reason that I wouldn't play the actual trap line is that the simple Nxd4 should be good for white.
