A few days ago I played an away chess game for my local club... however my opponent saw that i was a junior and knew that us juniors tend to know an extensive amount of opening theory! Well atleast thats what he told me at the end of the game. So instead of him playing a usual opening structure e.g Sicilian he decided to approach the game in a slightly different way.. the game was alot of fun and there were probably some better continuations ... the time control was 1 hour and 30 mins for all the moves and i was playing with the white pieces.

Please tell me what you think about the game and if i missed anything ect Thanks- Jamezz

Very odd opening sequence for Black.  Good play by White to gain quick control of the center.

There was a very unusual win of two pieces for a rook with 14 Bd5 followed by Rxf8 and Bxg8+.  One other idea on move 21 might be 21 Nb4 (threatening 22 Nc6+); but what you played was fine too (can't complain about being a piece up with the attack).  Another good/interesting game from you.

This belongs in the game showcase forum.

Unless you have a specific question, games that you win should usually go there.

The usual idea of ...b6 or ...a6 on black's first move is to have the setup ...Bb7, ...Nf6, ...e6, perhaps ...Bb4 if white plays Nc3, where black plays for an eventual ...d5.

It's not great but it's playable. Black in this game didn't do any of this. Black should not allow fxe5 (white should have played this one move earlier).

Well played by white.
