I should try playing something like this. Looks like great practice for king and pawn endgames!

HMMM...that's one way it could play out.

Black should have gone for 42...Kg1! in the queen/pawn endgame, trying for the standard h-pawn draw, but then 43.Kg4! h1/Q 44.Kg3 wins. Instead 42...Kg3? 43.Qa8 or Qd5 would have been over immediately.

The chess server FICS has this as one of the optional starting positions you can choose for a game (like we can start from a chosen opening position here, they include other positions like this one).

A great way to practice pawn/king endings.

Instead of 3. c4, I think better would have been 3.c3 preparing for 4. d4 and getting better control of the center.

I want to play this position!  It can't be difficult to add it?

And control of the center with only kings on is worth... what? Nothing.
The only thing worth looking out for is getting a potentially passed pawn on the a or h-file.
