I played this game a while ago. I won with a great sacrifice that led me to victory. It was my first time using a queen sacrifice that wasn't game ending. Hopefully I was accurate.

the sac looks sound, I think he should have avoided it by playing 16Be3, what did you plan after that?

Is it possible you could have played the sac straightaway on move 15..dxc5 16Rxd8 Rfxd8 seems to give many of the same themes but it would take a lot of looking at to see if it's sound. Bh6 is threatened and if Qe3 c4 look sweet.

Nicely done...

I play the Pirc a lot, you must do as well :-) I can't believe your rating is so low!

I'm not sure what I'd play vs. 16.Be3. 16...Bg7 may not draw because White has other options, though I don't like draws.

15...Bh6 is better I think because it's free but I'm not sure.

I play a lot better otb and plus live has those disconnects so it's hard to consistently pull up.

Thanks for taking a look!

So I looked at it for a while and 15.dxc5 does look better and I don't have to worry about Be3 at all. I think because I always have ...Bh6+ and ...Rd2 I can just steal the tempi and be in the same situation. I can't wait to pull this one otb. But I think I'll see 4.f4 more than anything. :/

I think 23.... Bc2 looks like an improvement. It was a nice game, but I don't think that white was toast and that the sacrifice was sound, not that I'm taking anything away from your nice finish btw. 18. Na4 is a clear mistake. a3 would have taken much of the steam off your attack.

Just my two cents,

23...Bc2 does look a lot better and I could've finished quicker. I completely missed that move, and yeah 18.Na4 was a decicive mistake. I guess White isn't "toast," but I don't know what White would do after 18.a3 Rd2 19.Qc1 Bxf3. I would  try stuff like ...Rad8, ...b5, ...c5 and maybe ...Be2  but that depends on White. This was the first time I played against 4.Bc4 otb so I have to work on it some more. Thanks for helping out.
