I was black.
Another pointless resignation thread...
I agree. Nobody owes you a resignation. Checkmate them.
I think this is more 'he resigned, and I don't know why.'
Good point, didn't even look at the position.
Yes, it is.
I was surprised my opponent resigned here. I mean, he's behind but I'm no master, I don't think it's a hopeless position, only 1 pawn down.
Seems like white is in trouble, but I don't know that it is hopeless.
It may also have been a frustration resignation if he felt he made a mistake, or just wasn't playing well, or something may have come up and he needed to leave.
I wouldn't have done...nothing too threatening from Black.
I can't see why - are you sure he/she didn't hit that button by mistake & was too embarrassed to admit it ?
Who knows ? You got the game so don't worry about it.
Well on the internet regardless of the site i have people resign right out of the opening with an even position only because the opening play didn't go the way they had planned ! But trying to explain the motives of why people do certain things on the web is generally a waste of time , you could be playing an 8 yr. old and their favorite cartoon came on .

Actually, I like White's position. He can play Kh2 to protect the pawn, followed by e4 to develop the other bishop or bring his rook over to help guard the half-open g.
Sometimes active pieces can be worth material (hint hint).
