I played a game against my friend which was drawn by agreement as we both were tired. Here is the diagram of the position after which the game was drawn. Do tell me that who was taking the lead.

             Thanks for your feedback.

This position looks really weird -- notice both pairs of knights side by side, also white's rook and bishops.  Were you going more for aesthetics than accurate play Smile

I'd say white almost certainly has an advantage, at least in space -- but black is solid, you're not attacking anything.  h4-h5-hxg and where are your rooks going?

This remind me of a hedgehog type of game where white looks very active comparatively, but black's third rank defense is annoying to crack.  I would have offered a draw being tired too -- this type of position isn't so fun for me to play :)

id have gone and made a cup of coffee at this point . a pawn push backed by the doubled up rooks , and 2 knights ready too pounce .. i recon white has winning chances .. blacks pieces seem to have gone on vacation for the day

I wouldn't underestimate Black's chances here. As noted above, this is sort of like a hedgehog position (only sort of!) in that White's space advantage could easily turn out to be a fatal overextension that left his king naked. Or he could have a decisive attack, due to his superior space. Who knows. White's King is quite exposed, and I know I would be a bit nervous.

Getting down to actual moves, I would guess that White will be pushing h4->h5 and trying to open the h-file. What should black do?  d5 looks like an error, since after white plays e5, the menacing Black QB is now blocked. Perhaps b5, trying to tear open the Q-side. Here's a sample of my thinking: 1.h4, b5 2.axb5, a4! 3.bxa4, Rxa4 and Black is starting to get a little something going. I'm sure I'm missing a lot, but a draw for White seems just and satisfactory

White can try to simplify and play 1.Rc2 or 1.Kf2 and 2.Rc1, or try to expand on the kingside with 1.h4.  Black may be able to play 1...Nf5 since 2.exf5 Bxf3 3.f6 Bf8 and 4...Bxh1 favors Black.

You are more experienced player than me but I have always gone for accurate play. I wanted my rooks and knights to cause devastation on kingside using h file as an aid. And I had kept my paired bishop's  on queenside to keep an eye on black's counter attacks and when the right time would have come, i would have used them also.

We were not tired not because we were bored but because we had played 3 games consecutively.

Without looking at it too much that kind of idea jumped out at me for Black too.

The pieces are well placed, the bishops hit the kingside and block the c file and the rooks are doubled pointed at the king too -- I was just joking about the accurate moves thing Smile and even though it's a patzer thing to notice it's the first thing I noticed how the pieces were all side by side heh.
