Italian is a good opening, I need to practice non KG structures to.

3...Bc5 is aways a logical way to answer 3...Nf6 leads to more aggressive stuff 

I was wanting to test out 3...f5 if you played the Ruy, but the italian is also good. Usually I play Nf6 here comfortably, but I think I already shared with jet my lines so that wouldnt be too good. I have studied Bc5 some as well

it worked well for Anderssen, and Kaspy, plus it is always fun to play a gambit.

here the simple 0-0 looks good, I think I will play that first

d4 is actually better.

Bet this is new, what would be funny is if durring a game, someone used all the moves of his b knight to complete the knigh'ts tour

7...0-0 only a couple more moves to the first checkpoint

I would like to skip the first one for me, you can set it up on the analysis board if you like, I want to practice visualizing the position.

after some evaluation, I would like to get some development issues gone, and maybe even play for a d4 push

Ok backing up the e4 pawn making it nececary to begin playing for some sort of center, I would have played Rad1 but the problem is the knight is there (b1) so not possible, and playing Rd1 here may be counter intuitive, but entirely within reason. however I don't know if I have enough of a grip to start backing up e4 at the moment to carry out my d4 idea.

9. Rd1.

Not entirely sure of the soundness of the idea, but the plan is fairly straight forward, charge the center and grab it for myself.

tbh d4 should have been played long ago.

9.Re1 seems best. white better start attacking soon 

9.Rd1?! doesnt support the e-pawn 9.Re1 does.
