I thought I had a comfortable edge in this game but by the late middlegame it seemed to have evaporated. Anyone have any suggestions concerning how it slipped away and how it would have been best to proceed? It was a 90 minute game played in a local tournament against quite a strong opponent. I played White here.
It was a bit of a time scramble in the end and it was a gamble to open up my own king position for the sake of the attack, but it paid off luckily. However, I think it was somewhat justified because I don't see how he could have crushed me even after the risky looking attempt. The computer gives it as even and I guess there are perpetuals lurking around. However he didn't manage to hold the balance in the sharp position that resulted.
