I've always wondered what the game from the Sorceror's Stone actually looked like. I was unable find the opening, but I do have the position while it ended. Here's how it looked like towards the end. It's a nice little puzzle, if you want to look at it that way:
Sweet!
what an awe inspiring game of wizards chess.
I'm not sure if you saw this website or not, but if you didn't it might interest you: http://www.jeremysilman.com/movies_tv_js/harry_potter.html
The opening was the Scandinavian Defense. I don't think the game was actually created; just the opening and end position. Perhaps someone can come up with a possible game.
that's where i got it from.
nice i am one of harry potter fans
I never understood why one of them didn't play the king. Was that not a possibility or something?
One of them wasn't the king because they just filled up the empty squares on the board, which happened to be a knight, bishop, and rook
Oh gotcha. It has been a really long time since I saw the movie, I just remember Ron saying for me, I'll be a knight. I thought he chose what piece each person was.
White's position is unbelievably bad, my computer resigns almost outright.
I thought I remembered seeing the entire game somewhere...
Who is Harry Potter??
come on man I read the 7 parts u should read them or even see the movies.....
I guess you have to be a Harry Potter fan to enjoy this...
Note that in exchange for his queen that white has 3 full and healthy minor pieces.
good game!
