the slain Hippopotamus

I'm beginning to prefer closed, strategic games which commonly occur in the KID,and consequently I have become more attatched to the hippo, which also can reach these closed, "win the king" kind of positions.

I didn't win, in fact I ended up losing after my kingside attack failed and I overlooked two easy tactics which would of led to me into a winning position. Although this is the case, I find it is a good example of how the Hippo can lead to positions which are reminiscent of the KID, even though I failed.

enjoy. (any comments about where I went wrong etc, are appreciated)

The final position looks earily familiar.

I actually just started playing the hippo accidentally,I like the challenge of the closed position. But all of a sudden there's tactics for me if white overextends.I was laughed at at the chess club I belong to for using the hippo. After I beat 1600,1700,1850,and drew with 1965 things all of a sudden weren't funny anymore.
