This game was played by my 11 year old brother (Part II)

So this was a 10-0 blitz game played on chess.com fairly recently. My brother played white. A few notes: I've been teaching him for a while (I'm a 1400 player on live chess) so I've been teaching him some opening principals when I'm at home. He's caught on fairly quickly and now he beats me every 40 or games with an amazing combo he pulls out of nowhere. Either way, I think he has a bright chess future....

Although this opponent made too many mistakes, your brother played really good for his age.He utilized all the forking possibilities pretty well.Maybe he needs to play regularly and get better as he grows older. Its really good to know that he started playing chess from an young age.

I would say white played a fairly solid game here, he made several inaccuracies but no real mistakes.

    8. e5?

    I think Bxg5 is better

    13. Nxg5

    this misses a killer blow: Qd6+ Kb6 Bd3+ Ka5 Qc5+ Ka4 Qa3# (or b3)

    21. Ng5

    more accurate is Qg4 (threatening Qg1#) b6 Ne5, which wins a piece.

    22. Be7

white should develop peices with threats (e.g. Qf3 or Qe2)

    25. Nxh7

another pointless material grab (I think you need to teach him about position, development, initiative, etc) clearly better is Qg4+

with this said was he playing seroiusally in this game? if he joked afterward about not moving his queen perhaps he was trying to win without moving his queen?   if so, then this analysis is pointless.

as for blacks play, I say nothing (since thats not the point of this thread.)
