Great Trap!
If it has been posted many times then what shall i do?
This was told to me by a very good chess player.
A GOOD TRAP IS ALWAYS GOOD AND NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW MANY TIMES IT HAS BEEN POSTED.

a5?????????? what the dang is this? Even if u dont see the mate this is pointless!
I think you overrate it. If it was such a good trap, then most people would fall for it. The problem is that if Black knows anything about the Philidor defense, he/she will have prevented Legall's Mate long before White even has a realistic chance at pulling it off.

Love it. Really cool and illustrates the importance of sacrifice even the queen!!

Be kind guys. A win is a win. Doesn't matter if not many fall for it or not.

It's an alright trap and I appreciate the posting. But the best kind of traps are those where all your opponent's moves can be perfectly natural and you can still pull it off. Unfortunately with this one Black's 4th move clearly makes little sense and if they used a sensible development this wouldn't work.
WanderingWinder
This is clearly not true. Any 'very good chess player' would never say that 'a good trap is always good' because traps are inherently not good. That's why they're traps and not brilliant tactics.
And people are posting that it's been posted a lot because Legall's mate is probably THE most famous opening trap.
