Whites moves show a lack of understanding of opening play imo. Black has taken the centre and is doing well. Odd opening moves played by people with low grades shouldnt come as a shock, they shouldnt know any opening theory so dont worry about them. Just see it as a lack of understanding on their behalf. Stick to general opening objectives and watch for tactics. No need to do anything drastic as they will most likely self destruct their own position

why did you play 3...Bd7? if the queen comes out you can play Bd7 and force the queen to move again. You dont get bonus points for checks.
