I played this game recently against a higher rated player as White.Around 33 moves,I think position was even .After that I ran low on time and had no time to think.
Let me know what could I have done better .thanks!!

Your opening system--the Four Knights opening followed by Bc4 is safe and sound, but a little tame. After you both develop your pieces, castle, and push your d-pawns one square, the position is locked and a bit dull. Your play isn't wrong, but I think you'll have more fun with a slightly more aggressive approach.
Your play through move 15 is reasonable and the position is about equal. What was your thinking behind 16.dxe5? I wouldn't have thought to play it since it brings Black's Knight to a good square. And 17.Be2 just drops the e-pawn, doesn't it? After 17...Nxe4 18.Qd4 Nf6 you have compensation for the pawn (space, the two bishops), but it is a pawn. It is hard to say why Black didn't play 23...Nxf3+ with the better game.
On the other hand, when Black finally plays 25...Nxf3+ it's not nearly as good as 25...Rda8. After 35.Qc1 it looks as if Black is gradually winning. All your pieces are in passive positions and 35...Rd4 would have put you under heavy pressure.
I think 42.Qb8 is very strong for you, although very hard to see when you're short of time. Black's obvious 42...Rxa4, trying to take advantage of your weak back rank, seems to fail to 43.Rg8+ Kh7 44.Rg1!
You played pretty well. I think 34.c4 was a small mistake. What were you aiming for? 34.Re1, posting your rook aggressively on an open file looks better.
Thanks Paul!Your posts are always a pleasure.
With 16.dxe5 I wanted to break pawn jam in center. What would you have played on this move as white?
With 34.c4 I was trying to protect that pawn by giving Q's support.Off course,34..Rd4 would have broken that protection.
