Hi,
So the following game was played against a (very old) computer program. I had black and am trying to learn how to better play the Sicilian Najdorf. My understanding is that d5 is often the main area of contention and approached the game that way. I felt I was doing OK, but quickly fell apart. I put in my own comments and alternate moves, but would love some more guidance. Thanks
IM pfren
14.Nd5 is a poor move. You should naturally take with knight, and answer 15.ed5 with 15...Bf5, when Black is more than OK. Had white put the other rook on d1, it would probably be a different story.
15.Bxd5? is bad, of course. Black is better after 15...Nxd5 16.ed5 f5 or Rac8 (again poor rook placement for white).
