Nice, 6. Qa4? gave you a big advantage, when they should play Qd1 to transpose to the main variation of 5. Qa4+ Bd7 6. Qxd4

Yes 6.Qd1 or 6.Qd2 are both good.

6.Qd1 exd 7.Qxd5 Be6 8. QxQ RxQ is the mainline.
