    A lot of the problem was that you'd already lost a piece.  So after sacrificing, you were down 2 pieces (and had already exchanged another piece), and didn't have enough material to take advantage of any kingside weaknesses.    You aren't going to checkmate him with just your queen alone.  Also, he was able to play Ng6, putting his knight up as a shield in place of the pawn, which protected him somewhat.

    Instead of 14...Be6, he instead should have taken the bishop on c4, I think.  If you still insisted on sacrificing the h6 bishop after that... well, he'd be up 3 pieces, and I don't think you could get enough of an attack to do much to him.

    I think 22 Rhg1 was also a mistake.  He can take your rook with his queen, and after you take his queen, he can take your queen, leaving him up another rook.
