Hi. I've just finished this online chess game. I managed to calculate lines very accurately which is not what I'm usually good at. Also I launched a nice kingside attack which finally put an end to this game. Enjoy ;)

Nice solid opening!. 8...Bf6 is a move that normally will scare off most players under 1750. However, you didn't panic which is great! I teach chess for a living and one of the primary opening principles I push is not moving the same piece twice during the opening unless absolutely necessary. Moving the Queen during move 9 wasn't bad at all. Why? Because you forced your opponent to react with a counter-Queen move, something he probably didn't want to do.
Playing through the rest of the game, I noticed that you played good counter moves, putting greater pressure on your opponent than he put on you. I'd say you're playing very well and look forward to seeing further games! Please post some more games.

Very well played. A few too many !/?'s but great annotations nonetheless. My only feedback is that although 9. Nf3 is very passive and both Nce2 and Nde2 get a bit messy (all 3 moves met with Bg4) 9. Qf3 should simply be met by ...Ne5 10. Qe2 Nxc4 11. Qxc4 b5 equalising for Black. My intuition suggests that playing 9. Qh5 here first to bust up the pawn structure is slightly better but 9. f4 seems to be the best move. And if I may be picky, 13. Rae1 might have saved a tempo down the track in some lines.
Otherwise, apart from not playing 1. d4 or 3. Bb5 your play seems perfect. You deserve to be proud - well done!
