Good game!

Curious... how do you reply to 17. ...Be8? When the rook now defends d6 from the knight invasion and now the Black Knight on e7 can blockade on d5, soon enough.

thanks for the comment!

Be8 doesn't really help black because white can still play Nd6+     Should black take on d6 with his rook, the recapture exd6  forks both the queen and the knight.

good try though!

It was a gg, Blitz i presume? too many blunders by black at the end for a reasonable corr. game. Was he in time pressure? I have to imagine that the traps ate quite a bit of his clock.

Doesn't Nf5 work as a defense to Nd6+

Not sure who is winning there, but it looks like what I would have played.  I would have been scared to death about letting the knight have that d6 square and all my thought would have been around not letting him get there.

yes it does work!  the problem being that white plays Nd6+! anyways and white's pieces slowly penetrate into black's queenside.

Yeah, but way better than what he played...Looks like black still has a game.  Letting the knight just go there and stay there is devastating.  You are getting really good man!
