:O

jaw drops, asks what black was thinking with 12... Bc5. Certainly not the crush that occured in the game.

15. Nxd5! was the lightning, and 17.Qf7!! was the thunder. The threats were so plentiful that even the alternate endings were brilliant.

thanks for sharing this!

yet another game to add to your immortal collection. =)

Hey thanks for the comments.  I think after the seemingly harmless bishop move, the game is almost a forced win for white.

I did look at a new variation on not taking the bishop back, but it is just as bad.

Immortalgamer, this is definately one of the most impressive games I have seen in a long time, and whether this means a lot or not: you should be proud of yourself. I enjoyed it immensely and I thank you sincerly for posting such an amazing game.

Now I'm done kissing your arse, I struggle with the french - please show me this line!

Orthoschnapp Gambit with Qb6

Here are the first few moves made popular by Dennis Monokroussos in his blog articles on beating the french.

1. e4 e6
2. c4 d5
3. cxd5 exd5

Here are some good responses according to Dennis himself:
