A recently-completed game.  I typically prefer more open games, but I was proud of the slow positional approach I took this game:

great game, you really had the advantage the whole time.  i like the smart positional play over silly material gain (1 pawn).  great notes too.  that queen tie up is genius, you can move out of it anytime you want but there was no reason to.

Good game, that was a royal prison, and your opponent defended well. You just outplayed him on this game

Zugzwang is a German word that means something like "compulsion to move".  In chess terms, it means a position where one player would be fine if he could skip his move, but any move he makes will worsen his position. The final position in this game is an example -- White is not really threatening anything immediate, but Black is forced to move his queen (resulting in mate) or his knight (resulting in the knight's loss), and subsequently the game.  Important endgame concept.
