This was one of the coolest sustained onslaughts I've ever seen. It was played in an email game several years ago between two friends of mine. Black was a USCF-rated master (at what used to be called postal as well as OTB) and White didn't even have a rating (although he obviously ought to!).

Nope. Actually I thought Black was winning the whole game (he kept giving me updates on how it was going, and he was thinking the same thing).
