An amazing comeback

Hi there. I played this game a month ago or so here on chess.com. It was a live 15 minutes game, and I was black. After a serious blunder on my side, I was totally outplayed by my opponent, and the result was me being down a minor piece after my opponent simplified to the endgame. However, amazingly enough, I did manage to come back and win the game. The game however is a very good example of the denial of resignation for as long as you have a plan that has a minimal chance to work.

c4 on move 40 would have proved decisive for white. You would lose your knight, and with his knight and bishop still around he could get one to stop the a pawn even if he had to lose the minor piece he would have an easily won endgame considering he has other pawns left

d5 on move 46 may have won the game for white as well
