    I wasn't sure how this game would turn out. We had traded off all of our minor pieces, and we had gridlocked our pawns while waiting for the other player to relieve the pressure on black's f-pawn.

    maybe he didnt knew about the "en passant capture" there is actually a lot of ppl that dont understand that rule clearly

    And I agree with Azoth, en passant is a little obscure.

    Maybe you are right that he never knew the rule about en passant, but he had a much higher rating than I did, so he should have known it.
