Hey guys, I wanted to show you two games that ended in draws by stalemate. My suggestion is to skip to my endgames, they're the important bits.
This next game illustrates the principles of the previous game even more clearly. To recap: In stalemates, pawns are your friend.
The three rules:
1. When you're the one trying to work a stalemate, pawns are your friend
2. If you're the attacking side, it's okay sometimes to leave your opponent with one mobile piece as long as it isn't jeapordizing a victory
3. Never, even for one move, discount the stalemate as a potential end to the game. The game isn't won by either side until time runs out, somebody resigns, or there's a checkmate. Until then, always be on the lookout for stalemates. This rule is true whether you're the one working the stalemate or you're the one going for the checkmate.
I hope you guys find this helpful. If anybody has other advice or sample games, please post them.
