Swindles don't involve gain by the other person throwing it away, only to watch the swindler sniveling and weaseling after it like some discarded scrap. Swindles are all about having it handed to him, with trust - and a smile. That wasn't a swindle, at any move. Call it what it was.

I wasnt trying to post a clean technical game, just a slugfest that had an interesting mate. I dont really post too many games, cause its either no response to a well played strategic game, or you get reponses like these where everyone insists on pointing out that you were losing. I figured it would be a fun game to work out some of the missed tactics for White so people could learn. Stuff like rxc7 after the incorrect queen sac are things that can be drawn from this game. Just because someone posts a game, doesnt mean they think it is some work of genius, maybe they just thought it was interesting.

Beautiful tactical finish. I agree that it is a swindle though. As DeathScepter pointed out, a correct Rxc7! on move 35 is the correct refutation by white. Move 33 was not the "swindle move". In fact, it was the correct move to clear the C file for the rooks in a mate threat. The bigger blunder I give ?? towards, is on move 28... Bh4 29. g3??

Not only does it weaken kingside pawn formation which was vital for the checkmate later, but how could White have missed a simple 29. Nxh4.
