Just finished this game a while ago. Don't know how I came back.

guess am not a subtle player... never understood most of the moves made here. i.e. 7 bc4 would be better at g2...etc. Oh, well

Never said I was the best player in the world... hahaha You're right though, that probably would have been a better move at the time.

Am i wrong wanting to either go 14. Qf2 or Bxe3?

Not at all wrong... I wouldn't typically do Bxe3 since I'm usually rather protective of my bishops (though I lose one to a stupid move shortly after that). The Qf2 move I hadn't thought of.

This is the cool bit, though, 'cause now I get to see what other (arguably more experienced and/or more complete) players would do in various situations.

Fair enough.  Just felt like a comeback to me 'cause I was down in material early (though, as I've admitted and you've clearly stated, there were bad moves involved).

14. Ba3, in matter of point value is an equal exchange, where you can also capture the pawn after that, and I much rather would keep my Rook's than bishops.

In the game, the Queen is plasting through black's camp by herself, which makes checkmate only possible if the King cramps himself into a "positional mate".  Coordination of piecies, development.......I think a few chess advocates would agree that those could be useful.
