Which one takes more skill? Chess or Deal or No Deal?

Deal or no deal confuses me. 

Absolute idiots can easily win >500 grand on Deal or No Deal, yet very well educated highly intellegent people can be Jeapordy Champ for a week and only win like 12 hundred bucks total. Go figure!

I guess the sponsors want to pay big bucks to watch morons that know nothing jump around and make fools of themselves. But don't care about compensating the well deserved intelectuals.

BTW that fellow on that Ausie version of the show, though unlucky, is far more tame and reserved than the fools and bafoons on the U.S. version.
