In my own personal opinion, if the sacrifice acheived the goal it was meant to achieve, it was worth it (aka good). Even if it didn't acheive was it was supposed to, but still turned out well, then it's good.
With regards to high-level tactics and strategies based on the situation though, I would have no clue. :P

gxf3 my king is not safe? I'm want my Bishop on f3 and if Nxc5 maybe I can Bxd5 
Houdini says: "No!" You had to play b5. After your sac your score goes down to -0.30 while it was 0.20 before.
I like the sac. I have no idea if Houdini's idea is better, but I understand the sac and what it accomplishes, and I think it's a good plan.
