I had been playing the Colle-Torre Attack-London System complex for the White side for about 6 months prior to this tournament. I had not yet come across someone who employed the Chigorin against me and found to my dismay that I had issues with my queens bishop during the opening and lost a pawn. I knew a single pawn would not be enough at our level for one to win generally speaking. I noticed my opponent was a Unrated in his first large tournament, although he appeared to have been playing in his local club for some time already and had a provisional rating of around 1100 (always suspect...there is a lot of sandbagging in these tournaments). I just went ahead and play for the ending. This is one which is very instructuve.
