    Well you didn't exactly punish white for developing his queen too early. After 4... Nf6? 5. dxe5 white was doing great and not punished at all. VladBGhita mentioned "automatic opening moves" and 4... Nf6 certainly looks as such a move. You could have rescued the situation at that point by also moving your queen out early, no rules without exceptions, 4... Qf6 would be a lot better.

    But apart from that, well done for striking back.

    Thanks. Now that I look closer at the position I think that 4... Qe7 would be better than 4... Qf6, but 4... Qf6 is at least a lot better than 4... Nf6.
