This is a portable computer with a range of levels that allow a lowly chess player like myself an opportunity to learn to play chess, try tactics and develop strategies. This is not a high setting on it (Excalibur).

I disagree with the concept that losing a minor piece is big. Take a look at some Tal games where he sacrifices pieces to gain a superior positional advantage. Material does not matter in the end if you achieve checkmate.
