I am in no hurry to take it as there is nothing he can do to prevent me from doing so, at least not without giving up more material than he can afford to.

 

Instead I opt to strengthen my bishop's position

I would be carefull about posting current games you are playing (I know the game is over now).

 Thanks for the tip; I agree, it would be a bad idea if there were any chance at all he could win/draw if I were to make a mistake. Fortunately my decisions from here in this game are very easy to see, and mate is in fact forced.
