Just played quite an interesting checkmate in a 5 minute blitz game.

I've never posted anything before but as I managed to pull this off against a relatively high ranking opponent I thought it may be of interest to others.

Further, as I'm still a lowly ranked rookie so I would appreciate any pointers that any of you wise old heads can offer!

not bad, he should have noticed the sac though
his kingside was weak ever since gxf3... he shouldn't have castled kingside after that

good job at exploiting his weaknesses

I agree, it's unlikely that this would have worked in a longer game.

Offering a pawn for a rook should certainly have set White's alarm bells ringing! I can only assume that given the fact I was running short on time White believed I'd blundered.
