After round 4 i was still feeling fresh because it was only a 13 move game. In round 5 i was drawn against Michael Adam on board 1. We were roughly the same age and i really wanted to win and take outright first with with 4 and a half/5.

I was delighted to have won the first tournament i ever entered with outright 1st and i really enjoyed it.

"At this point he offered me a draw and i declined. He picked my bishop up with his left hand and slammed his rook down and said "fine" quite loudly. I was quite taken a back but just carried on with the game."   lol  What a cry baby!

Well done Michael, you played very well in this tournament and I think you should return this year to defend your crown, even although this year I think you would have to play in the Major.

Unfortunately I can't play in the Major anymore because my grade is too high so we won't meet in play!!
